Setting Up Your CallPlus Phone

Before you activate your new CallPlus Mobile SIM Card, there are a few things you should do first:

  1. COPY OR BACKUP YOUR ADDRESS BOOK

    If you normally store your mobile contacts on your SIM Card, it’s a good idea to copy them across to you phone before proceeding with activation. If you're going to use a new mobile handset with your CallPlus mobile service, we'd recommend that you backup your contacts, photos, and other important documents to a personal computer.

  2. CLEAR YOUR OLD VOICEMAIL

    If you're porting your mobile number to CallPlus, make sure that you've cleared all remaining voicemail messages from your old voicemail service before you activate your CallPlus SIM. After activation, your old voicemail service will no longer operate.

Once your mobile connection is live with CallPlus, there are a few things you should do straight away:

  1. SETUP YOUR NEW VOICEMAIL SERVICE - 909

    Simply dial 909 or +64 9 974 5650 and you will be guided through the voicemail setup process.

    Checking your voicemail costs just 17c per call.

  2. CONFIGURE YOUR PHONE FOR INTERNET & MMS SERVICES

    If you have one of the following devices click here and we’ll send you a special TXT message that will automatically set up the internet settings and messaging (MMS) settings on your phone: settings on your phone:

    •     Nokia 2630, 2730, 3120c, 6120, 6121
    •     Nokia 5800, E51, E63, E75

    BlackBerry Devices: Your internet and messaging settings will be automatically configured on your device by the BlackBerry Service.

    All other devices: If you are using a different mobile, here are the settings you need to use:

    VOICEMAIL INSTRUCTIONS

    CallPlus Mobile comes with a new voicemail -simply dial 909 from your mobile and you'll be talked through personalising your voicemail, plus you can set up a PIN for accessing your voicemail from another phone or from overseas.

    We've got a couple of handy hints for using your voicemail, here are the hotkeys for CallPlus voicemail to help you get the most out of your voicemail service:

    • Delete the message - Press 5
    • Previous message - Press 111

      • Rewind 8 seconds - Press 1
    • Rewind to the beginning of the message - Press 11
    • Fast forward 8 seconds - Press 3
    • Fast forward to the end of the message - Press 33
    • Call back who left the message - Press 0#
    • Help - Press 8

    Storing Messages - you have storage space for 20 messages of up to 5 minutes each. New messages are automatically kept for 7 days and once you've played them they will last for two weeks.
